MONTREAL, October 5, 2026
The Canadian Muslim Forum (FMC-CMF) congratulates the newly elected members of the National Assembly of Quebec and thanks all candidates, campaign volunteers, and citizens who participated in the democratic process.
Now that the election is over, the FMC-CMF calls on the new government and all elected representatives to govern for all Quebecers, strengthen social cohesion, and avoid policies or rhetoric that could deepen divisions or marginalize communities.
“The election is over, but the work of building Quebec continues. We encourage our elected representatives to listen to communities and focus on the priorities that affect the daily lives of Quebecers, including the economy, education, affordability, and opportunities for all,” said the Canadian Muslim Forum.
Quebec’s diversity is a strength. Ensuring that all communities can fully participate in the province’s social, economic, and civic life is essential to building a stronger and more united Quebec.
The FMC-CMF looks forward to working constructively with the new government, elected representatives, community organizations, and citizens to promote dialogue, inclusion, and civic participation.
The FMC-CMF encourages the new government to govern with fairness and openness and to contribute to bringing all Quebecers together.
